Skills USA, Adviser to be determined

Skills USA is a national student organization partnership with students, teachers and business/industry representatives working together to introduce the concepts of personal and professional development.  Our chapter is sponsored by CCHS and their high school students help plan our program and actively teach and mentor our students.  It is a wonderful way for middle school students to improve and develop their photography skills, while learning more about possible educational, competitive and career opportunities that await them.

SKILLS USA activities foster the development of creativity, problem-solving skills, self-esteem and integrity. Students are introduced to the corporate quality culture, which emphasizes the dignity of work well done, lifelong learning, workmanship and community service.  This is an excellent program that carries on into High School.

Skills USA meets twice a month, with the CCHS students coming once a month to introduce new skills and activities, which are then developed and shared.  Last year Skills USA sponsored a trip to Warner Brothers Studios in Hollywood and 25 of our students were able to participate!!!
