Student-Created for Student-Use.Being a student at James Workman Middle School means much more than simply showing up with a backpack and leaving with homework assignments. At JWMS, students and staff communicate, learn, and create in a growing technology-based environment. Our mascot, the Bighorn, embodies strength and perseverance - two qualities that our students possess. The Crag website is meant to be the digital home of our JWMS Bighorns, a place where they can stay current, celebrate achievements, and appreciate middle school life.
Student-Created for Parent-Use.Parents of James Workman Middle School students can stay current and connected by visiting The Crag. The school News & Events section of this website will keep parents informed of campus happenings so that they can give their student ongoing support throughout the academic year. Parents can also contact teachers with concerns by using the Teacher Finder feature or get help with location information by utilizing the Contact JWMS tab.

Buy Your 2012-2013 Yearbook Today! Yearbooks will begin to be sold on Tuesday, May 21 at lunches. We will sell them until they are sold out. Price is $25.00 online or at school until June 3, then the price goes to $30.00 if we have some left to sell. (No checks accepted at school. Why did we choose the name "The Crag"?
According to Nature Works, the bighorn sheep prefer to live in areas full of rocky slopes they can climb in order to evade predators. The definition of a crag is as follows: "A steep rugged mass of rock projecting upward or outward." Since the JWMS Bighorns are always climbing toward continued academic success, and since the school website should be their digital "home" away from home, we thought naming our website "The Crag" would be a tribute to the spirit of the Bighorn.
